Compassionate and excellent patient care is a focus of both the The Ohio State University Medical Center and The Department of Psychiatry. We provide the most comprehensive behavioral healthcare services for children and adolescents, adults and older adults in central Ohio. Patients and loved ones who come to OSU Harding have expanded treatment options, a more experienced and diversified staff, and more convenient and available services than with any other provider in the area.
We understand that each person requires a different amount of care. That's why we offer a wide range of specialized treatment options:
If a patient needs emergency services, they can go directly to The OSU Medical Center Emergency Department, 410 West 10th Avenue (24 hours). After medical review and approval, a psychiatric evaluation may be conducted.
NetCare also provides 24 hour mental health and substance abuse crisis stabilization for Franklin County Residents. For more information, call (614) 276-2273.
The clinical trials program at OSU Harding Hospital and the OSU Department of Psychiatry is one way to determine whether new treatments are safe and effective. The trials encompass agents that are in various phases of development across numerous diagnostic categories. Our goal is to ultimately establish new therapies to minimize the distress experienced by patients with an array of mental disorders.
Inpatient care is provided on campus at the OSU Harding Hospital for patients who are suffering from a psychiatric disorder that affects their ability to care for themselves or who are at risk for harming themselves or others.
The Adult Partial Hospitalization Program is designed for individuals who require a less restrictive environment than inpatient care, but more than traditional outpatient services. Participants in this program are involved in group based treatment during the day, returning to their own homes in the evenings.
The Outpatient Services Program offers both short and long term therapies including individual, family/couples, group, and support group therapy. The Outpatient Clinic is located within OSU Harding Hospital.
