Kristin Kuntz, PhD, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry is a clinical health psychologist and the transplant psychologist for The Ohio State University Comprehensive Transplant Center. Dr. Kuntz joined the Department of Psychiatry in 2007. She serves on the OSU Comprehensive Transplant Center's Clinical Council and Education Committees and the Ohio Solid Organ Consortium's Chemical Dependency Committee. She provides evaluation services for patients with psychosocial difficulties prior to transplant to reduce any psychological and behavioral barriers to successful outcomes and contributes to patient selection meetings for the kidney, pancreas, liver, and heart transplant services. She also provides psychological treatment for patients post-transplant who have difficulty adjusting to transplant, adhering to the treatment regimen, or experiencing symptoms of a previously diagnosed mental illness. In addition, she provides psychological assessment and treatment services for kidney donors.
